Deltran was established in 1965, originally focused on designing and manufacturing transformers. In the 1980's, Michael Prelec Sr identified an opportunity to shift into the battery charging business, creating the first Battery Tender® smart charger in 1991. Since then, the company has grown significantly, expanded the product line, and is currently distributed worldwide.
